Personally I preferred OsmAnd's interface -- interface may be more important than features for most people if both have the basic features down. But what's the best battery out there? The new version 4.

I've heard great things about Waze, but it does require a data connection. They are also both by Google. At the moment, I'd say OsmAnd is my favorite dedicated app. Something else you won't find anywhere else: OsmAnd is a different type of navigation app. Sounds navigatiin a problem with your Android device or model, I think.
It looks old, but it works well.

Yeah, it seems like that's a feature you have to pay for -- offline gps with an address database. The most glaring flaw is that it still does not show the street where I live.
