We gave it to people who don't really have a great understanding of Asperger Syndrome and it gave them a better insight into what the world is really like for people who have Asperger. My husband has AS, and he loved this book as well. Accompanying each photo is a short sentence or phrase, explaining how such a child may feel, think or act under certain circumstances. In other words, nothing special and thus an unfortunate disappointment.

Open Preview See a Problem? There are many people who only discover their AS as adults. Lists with This Book. As a person with AS and who owns a cat, I can relate to the premise of the book. Ok, who but Shauna? Wish more books about autism and AS were like this. Delightful colour photographs of cats bring to life familiar characteristics such as sensitive hearing, scampering at the first sign of being stroked, and particular eating habits. I saw a picture of the front of this book on the Internet somewhere and thought it was a joke, as it IS very funny and very true.
All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome takes a playful look at Asperger Syndrome ASdrawing inspiration from the feline world in a way that will strike a chord with all those who are familiar with AS. This book was so sweet and yet somehow so depressing at the same time.
Rather than a fun little LOLcats parody that plays up their sometimes mystifying and simultaneously adorable behaviors to make Asperger Syndrome easier for people to relate to, it was simply generalized, humorless descriptions of symptoms set to generic stock images of cats. I really can't wait to use them next year, so I bought them immediately.

Nice photos of cute cats on each page if you're a cat lover. Okay, I did not know what to make of this book when I havr it on the table at a recent book sale, but cat lover that I am, how could I pass it up for 50 cents?

A nice book, a very cute and warm way to look at Aspergers. Another photo shows a kitty alone, and states that although "he likes to be near those he loves, he doesn't want them to hold him, preferring syndrmoe places to a hug". Books by Kathy Hoopmann. This book was great to read with my sons syjdrome help them understand what this Asperger's stuff that we keep talking about is. I found this book to be both poignant and humorous, without being patronising.

This book is a nice hardcover book with shiny pages. There were even some lines that were the same. And really, they do the cats, as well as the dogs.
