The best way to ensure that the correct DSN is created is to always use the ODBC Administration shortcuts that are created in the iSeries Access for Windows Program group because those shortcuts are properly labeled as either bit or bit. There was an error processing your information. All the hotfixes for Fro R2 compatibility of Client Access are publicly available without having to go through IBM i5 support. You have to integrate the actual servicepack into the common installation files. You can register the same on following website for free. Upvote if you also have this question or find it interesting. One would think that the bit system files would go in fr System32 directory and the bit system files would go in the SysWOW64 directory.
